Candidate orientation booklets
are available on the BOC website to assist local
corrections agencies in the recruitment and selection
of entry-level juvenile corrections officers,
adult corrections officers and probation officers.
The booklets
provide information about
the exams' development and validation;
familiarize candidates with
the exam formats;
afford a preview of each exam;
and, provides sample problems
(with answers) to help candidates prepare for
the exam.
STC participating agencies may
refer candidates to the BOC website to access
these booklets, or download the booklets to the
local agency website. Local agencies may also
find it helpful to provide candidates with hard
copies as well to ensure that those candidates
without computer access may receive the information.
